Maybelline LLC, branded as Maybelline New York, is a major American makeup brand sold worldwide and a subsidiary of French cosmetics company L’Oréal.
There is actually a very interesting story about the name of “Maybelline”. The Company was created by a 19-year-old entrepreneur named Thomas Lyle Williams in 1915. Williams noticed his older sister Mabel applying a mixture of Vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes to give them a darker fuller look. So, he adapted it with a chemistry set and produced a product sold locally called Lash-Brow-Ine. Then Williams renamed his eye beautifier Maybelline in honor of his sister who gave him the idea.
My experience with Maybelline products is really great. I never had any complaints using any of their products. Of course, i did not use all of their products but I can tell you about the ones I’m using.
I use the black waterproof eyeliner pencil and the black dark color they have looks really gorgeous, if a woman knows how to draw her eyes with it.
The black mascara is also nice, especially the one that achieve layers of lashes If you like that sensational full-fan effect.
Their blush and bronzers is really my favorite one. A gorgeous glow, a whisper of color in the cheeks. Maybelline’s blushes and bronzers give your face the complexion of color when you want to turn some heads, and it works with your individual skin tone and it looks so natural.
The Maybelline concealer is a super-concentrated treatment to help instantly erase dark circles, cover up puffy eyes and hide fine lines. But you need to pick the right color that matches with your skin so it is not darker or too lighter than your own skin color. I prefer the neutral colors because it matches fine with my skin color.
